Shane Bosworth, Professional Trainer:

I am a professional dog trainer with experience working with dogs of all ages and breeds. I am passionate about helping dogs and their owners live happy and fulfilling lives together. I believe that all dogs can be trained, and use the most up to date training methods available to help dogs learn and behave in a way that is safe and enjoyable for everyone.

I strive to continue my education and have completed a number of professional canine certifications, courses in many different aspects of dog training. I enjoy nothing more than seeing the effects of my education and training in action.

I work not only with dogs but also their owners, by explaining and putting into practice the many different techniques that can help dogs and their owners have a better life together.

Whether it’s teaching a new family pet good manners, helping change some bad habits of an older dog or a complete behavior modification in order to save a rescue dog’s life, my goal is to teach each dog the good behaviors that will lead to a happier, better adjusted life with their humans.

Both humans and dogs alike put faith and trust in me to bring out the best in them. That is why I like to think that my training, is truly training that you can trust. Feel free to give me a call or send me a text at (814) 242-2048 for a free consultation.

Mobile Learning:

How many times have you taken your dog out and he’s have been perfectly fine? Then you return home, and he becomes unruly? Or the reverse. You’re home and the dog is great, then you go out and he rockets out of control. That’s just one reason why That Dog Guy offers MOBILE TRAINING.

All lessons are scheduled at times that are convenient for you. We come to you on your schedule at your home or in your yard. For some sessions, we go “on location” to address issues where your dog’s problem behaviors occur.

Our Mobile Learning includes training in highly distracting environments such as dog-friendly stores and parks. We include use of the trainer’s dogs for distraction and social skills.

That Dog Guy uses a combination of toys, praise and affection to help motivate your dog during training. At the end of the day we meet with the owners and show them everything we covered that day, so we are working together as a team for the dog’s best benefit. With That Dog Guy, all training is conducted with your dog’s best interest in mind by using calm, assertive, fair and consistent techniques.

“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.”

– Josh Billings

Dog obedience training:

This is an important part of responsible pet ownership. It can help to ensure that your dog is well-behaved and safe to be around. There are many different methods of training, but all of them share the same goal to teach your dog to follow your commands every time the first time.

Additional benefits of dog obedience training:

Reduces problem behaviors: Obedience training can help to reduce problem behaviors such as jumping up, counter surfing , barking, running away, and chewing.

Increases safety: A well-trained dog is less likely to run away, get into fights, or injure someone.

Improves communication: Obedience training can help you communicate more effectively with your dog and build a stronger bond.

Enhances your dog’s quality of life: A well-trained dog is usually happy and well-adjusted .
